Maria Nicolacoudis - Executive Director

Maria Nicolacoudis joined DPI in 1997 as the Executive Director of TransAccess. Maria earned a B.A. in Psychology from UC Santa Cruz and an M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Santa Clara University. She has worked with persons with disabilities for over twenty years, as a Case Manager for persons with chronic mental illness and as an instructor at the Thessaloniki School for the Blind. At Project HIRED, an employment service for persons with disabilities, she managed the temporary staffing agency, the outsourcing division and trained employers on ADA, disability etiquette and accommodations.

She served on the board of H.O.P.E., as Chair of the Santa Clara County Committee for Employment of Persons with Disabilities and is an appointee to the California Governor's Committee for the Employment of Persons with Disabilities and the Co-chair of the Education and Employment subcommittee as well as a member of the NOVA CONNECT Steering Committee and the Parents Helping Parents Advisory Committee.
