Sarah Laugtug, M.A. - Employment Specialist
Sarah Laugtug offers over six years professional experience working with individuals with disabilities in addition to applying her knowledge of her own hidden disability. Sarah’s approach to counseling is that of a partnership—she strives to build strong relationships with her clients through open communication and enthusiasm for helping others. Community and online disability resources, employment preparation, and stroke awareness are Sarah’s specialty areas, so make sure to ask her about them! Having earned her Master of Arts degree in Counseling Education from San Jose State University and her Bachelor of Science degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology, she brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and creativity to TransAccess.
Sarah is an active member of the American Counseling Association (ACA), the National Career Development Association (NCDA), and the American Rehabilitation Counseling Association (ARCA). She stays engaged in the community by volunteering for the Peninsula Stroke Association and as a Mentor for the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center Rehabilitation program. Sarah stays on top of new employment resources by attending trainings, reading professional journals, and meeting with local employers.
